Joint Research Project Aims to Reduce Carbon Footprint of Shipping Industry

A joint research project between the University of British Columbia (UBC), the Clear Seas Centre for Responsible Marine Shipping, and the National Research Council of Canada’s (NRC) Ocean, Coastal and River Engineering Research Centre aims to play a key role in reducing the environmental footprint of shipping, which accounts for nearly 3% of global human-caused carbon emissions.
